WELCOME TO GUL BOOK CLUB

GUL BOOK CLUB was founded to offer women a way to connect with other women. Our book club is for those women seeking to answer the big questions of life. It is for women who love learning about themselves and who are looking for their life mission. Each month, I, a book-lover-in-chief will choose a book that was written by women and for women.

A woman will be always at the center of the story, I promise!

WHAT WE READ

There's a certain formula to the books we spotlight, we read about female-leaders, women who changed and still changing the world; we read about women who inspire us to think big and kick ass! And we like it that way because we know that the moment we take responsibility for everything in our lives is the moment we can change anything in life.
No one will do it for us - we have to do it for ourselves.

We make our choices thoughtfully and look for ways to deepen our connection to books, authors, and ourselves.

I have a mission to provide you with the opportunity to set your terms, goals, do the work, and live an adventure through guided and curated experiences. We read, highlight the most important information, and we share the most powerful reading experiences. Many of the books we will look at have exercises in them and work to do.

It's work, babe!

The GUL Book Club is a safe space for you to be YOU. Feel free to ask questions and share your opinions on the book knowing you won't be judged or questioned. You go through the books, experience them, and implement them as part of a curated experience by a certified professional coach (me).

Each month a new book will be assigned for you to read. We will have a monthly meeting which falls on the third Sunday of each month!

All women are welcome. Come and share stories, experience, and make new friends! What a great way for a group of women to form friendships, chit chat about books, decompress, laugh, connect, reflect and just have a great time over a glass of wine or two! What a great combo, huh?

All backgrounds, personalities, and nationalities are welcome. It's an accent-free meet-up.

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

I can assure you that the novel will spark plenty of animated conversation, as well as encouraging shared memories.

Firefly Lane is the story of a generation of women who were both blessed and cursed by choices. It's about promises and secrets and betrayals. And ultimately, about the one person who really, truly knows you and knows what has the power to hurt you . . . and heal you. Firefly Lane is a story you'll never forget . . . one you'll want to pass on to your best friend.

How to be An Overnight Success by Maria Hatzistefanis

For me, Maria Hatzistefanis, the author of the book, is a perfect example of a woman who had a big dream&vision, a person who had no financial resources, support from parents and friends, ON HER OWN, created the @rodialbeauty company, and later @nipandfab.

Why she didn't give up? We will discuss this in our meeting.

You can read about the importance of faith in yourself, patience, and building your personal brand and a cool product in How to be an Overnight Success book just on a weekend.

Girl Boss by Sophia Amuroso

In the New York Times bestseller that the Washington Post called “Lean In for misfits,” Sophia Amoruso shares how she went from dumpster diving to found one of the fastest-growing retailers in the world.

Books, I found, had the power to make time stand still, retreat or fly into the future.
